The historic center of Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, leisurely walks through its narrow streets will make you travel back in time.

Catedral Primada de Toledo

Dating back to 1220, Toledo Cathedral is well known for its magnificent medieval gothic architecture and famous artwork inside. It is open to the public, but tickets are required to enter.

Alcázar de Toledo

An iconic fortress, rich in history that dominates the skyline, and is the highest point of the city. Inside is an army museum and panoramic viewpoint.

San Martin's Bridge

Take a scenic walk (or zip line!) across this medieval 14th century bridge spanning 40 meters across the Tagus river.

Plaza de Zocodover

A central square with places to eat lunch and grab a drink. Be sure to try marzipan and explore local Toledan sword shops while you roam the city!

Vineyard Tour & Tasting at Cigarral de Santa María

Conveniently located on-site for guests of Hotel Cigarral Santa María is a vineyard tour and tasting of the Adolfo family run winery, which was founded in 1997. Please inquire at the front desk if you are interested; this is also open to guests not staying at the hotel. The tour and tasting is approximately an hour and a half long, ending with wine & appetizers on the terrace overlooking Toledo. The cost is €55 per person for groups of 6 or more.

Golf Campos de Layos

Recommendation from the Groom: Book a tee time at an 18 hole golf course 15 minutes away from the city at Campo de Layos. Rental clubs and golf carts are available.


MQM Museo del Queso Manchego Toledo

Recommendation from the Bride: Located next to Toledo Cathedral, explore the cheese museum for free, where you can learn more about the history and production of authentic Spanish manchego. Afterwards enjoy a guided tasting of the region's best wine with cheese pairing.

Restaurants

Alfileritos 24: This restaurant is located in the heart of Toledo's historic district and offers a unique way to experience the local cuisine. You can also dine more casually in the tavern located on the first floor, which has an extensive tapas menu.


Botero Restaurant: Excellent cocktails, wine, meat, and fish dishes. Located conveniently near the Toledo Cathedral.


La Ermitaña: Located across the river, just outside the center city, but worth the trip for panoramic views of Toledo and elevated cuisine. Highly recommend!


Cervecería La Abadía: Craft brewery located in the historic center near Plaza de Zocodover.


El Trébol: Casual tapas bar located in the historic center near Plaza de Zocodover, good for a quick bite to eat or stop for wine.
